Premier Lacrosse League to Return to Minneapolis, TCO Stadium in 2024 Season

By PLL, 01/01/24, 10:30AM CST

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster today announced it will return to Minneapolis for the league’s 2024 season, hosting all eight PLL teams at TCO Stadium June 28-30, 2024.

“Minnesota lacrosse fans and the top notch facilities at TCO Stadium have made for some of our best PLL weekends years past, and we’re thrilled to bring all eight of our teams back to the Midwest,” said Mike Rabil, Co-Founder and CEO of the Premier Lacrosse League. “The growth of the game in the region, and our past performance in Minneapolis made TCO Stadium and Viking Lakes a great candidate to host as a neutral site PLL weekend in this new chapter for our league. We look forward to continuing to invest in this great lacrosse community this summer, and beyond.”

Minneapolis is one of two cities set to host all eight PLL teams this summer, as the league recently assigned its eight teams to home cities, marking the league’s biggest investment since its inception in 2018. Eight of the PLL’s 10 regular season games will take place in its team’s home cities, with two regular season weekends, All-Star Game, and playoffs to be held at neutral sites.

“We’re proud to welcome the PLL back to TCO Stadium for the third time in 2024”, said Viking Lakes General Manager Kyle Chank. “It’s a testament to the fandom of the sport in Minnesota and our great venues at Viking Lakes that we’re hosting all eight teams as one of the PLL’s chosen sites. We look forward to doing our part to grow league and lacrosse for years to come.”

Ahead of the 2024 season, the top four teams from the PLL’s 2023 season will face off in the PLL Championship Series presented by Ticketmaster February 14-19, 2024 at The St. James near Washington, D.C. The Utah Archers, Boston Cannons, California Redwoods, and Philadelphia Waterdogs will compete in the Olympic Sixes game format, set to return lacrosse to the Olympics at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games.
