Minnesota Aurora FC announces multi-year extension to play all home games at TCO Stadium in Eagan.

Minnesota Aurora FC announced a multi-year extension to play all home games at TCO Stadium in Eagan. The stadium, which is part of Viking Lakes, will continue to provide Aurora with a first-class facility for fans and players this upcoming season, with options through 2025.

“TCO Stadium was a tremendous home for our first season. With lots of great sight lines and easy access for fans, we couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere,” said Andrea Yoch, president of Aurora. “We are extremely excited to be making TCO Stadium our home for the next few years.”

Last season, Aurora averaged 5,500 fans per game and sold out 6 of its 9 home matches. It set the USL W record for attendance at the championship match, which 6,500 fans attended.

“The facilities at TCO Stadium are the best in our league and rank high for all women’s soccer in the US,” commented Head Coach Nicole Lukic. “Practicing and playing at TCO Stadium definitely gives us a home field advantage.”

Minnesota Aurora FC is a pre-professional soccer team in the USL W League which was created in 2022 to create a new pathway to the pros for women. Aurora is a founding team of the league, which has grown to over 60 teams for the 2023 season.

In 2022, Aurora went undefeated in the regular season. They made it to the championship game where they lost to Tormenta SC, finishing the season 13-1-1. The team was founded by a group of Twin Cities residents and is owned by 3080 community owners across the US and 8 countries making it unique in US women’s soccer.
