The Omni Viking Lakes Hotel has won a Minnesota Construction Association Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Construction Association in the Over $15 Million category.

Kraus-Anderson was the construction manager of the 381,163-square-foot hotel at 2611 Nordic Way in Eagan, Minn., which opened in Oct. 1, 2020.

Owned by MV Ventures, the $98 million hotel is the mainstay of the Viking Lakes mixed-use development project that includes the Twin Cities Orthopedic Performance Center for the Minnesota Vikings, which KA completed in 2018.

Designed by ESG Architects, Omni Viking Lakes Hotel honors timeless Nordic traditions and incorporates the local flavor of the surrounding area. The 14-story, 320-key property features 35,000 square feet of event space, including a ballroom, pre-event and meeting spaces. Amenities include a full-service spa, fitness center, underground parking, three dining options and a bar terrace with access to the Viking Lake mixed-use development.
